Funcionarios del gobierno y mineros de Barrick golpearon a mujeres en Peñas Negras

Ayer martes, funcionarios de la secretaría de minería y de ambiente de la provincia de La Rioja junto a personal de Barrick Gold subieron al campamento que tienen en el cerro. Algunas mujeres de la Asamblea se apostaron en el corte de Peñas Negras y bajaron la barrera. Unos doce hombres arremetieron en sus 4x4 contra la barrera y agredieron a las pocas mujeres que se sentaron pacíficamente delante de los vehículos. A empujones, golpes de puño y patadas apartaron a los asambleístas. Mineros y funcionarios concurrieron a la comisaría a denunciar a los vecinos pero a las 22.30 hs.prácticamente todo el pueblo de Famatina estaba rodeando la comisaría y estos “señores” ahora tienen miedo de salir.

Los funcionarios de gobierno y los empleados de Barrick –unos doce hombres en total-arremetieron en sus 4x4 contra la barrera y como eso no les alcanzó agredieron a las pocas mujeres que se sentaron pacíficamente delante de los vehículos. A empujones, golpes de puño y patadas apartaron a los asambleístas.

No conformes con eso fueron a la comisaría de Famatina a denunciar a los asambleístas, haciéndose pasar por víctimas.

Los agresores, al ingresar a la comisaría se encontraron con algunos pobladores que ya se habían enterado de parte de lo sucedido y los agredieron verbalmente en una actitud de soberbia, sintiéndose seguros de su impunidad.

Esa actitud no les resultó favorable: prácticamente todo el pueblo de Famatina está rodeando la comisaría y estos “señores” ahora tienen miedo de salir.

Las últimas novedades que tenemos, merced a una comunicación telefónica a las 22,50 hs. Son:

- Los funcionarios agresores están todavía en la comisaría custodiados por las fuerzas policiales de Famatina, que han pedido refuerzos a la policía de Chilecito.

- Los asambleístas están radicando a su vez una denuncia por la agresión sufrida

Nos informan que hay por lo menos dos mujeres de las asambleas con heridas por la agresión. Incluso un documentalista que se encontraba en Peñas Negras haciendo tomas para un documental también resultó golpeado. No conocemos en detalle la gravedad de las lesiones producidas a las asambleístas.

Anoche en Famatina: marcharon en la plaza local bajo el tañir de las campanas de la Iglesia
